FUEL SUBSIDY IN NIGERIA AS AN AVENUE FOR SLEAZE

While voicing our opposition to the removal of petroleum subsidy, have we bothered to consider that govt has no business in the first place subsidizing refined petroleum products? If we could get our refineries working & get licencees to build refineries based on any capacity they can handle, we could then allocate crude oil to refineries producing for local consumption at concenssionary (not subsidized) rates.
